Better Off Ted and Futurama

2 great shows that were not appreciated for the genius that they were. 2 amazingly funny shows that the populace did not get behind until it was too late. But, lucky for Futurama, they got 1 reprieve [before being cancelled by FOX and then a 2nd life on Adult Swim and then DVD's (sound FAMILY-iar Mr. McFarland?)]. But it looks like all might be lost for Better Off Ted.

But as I was thinking about this, I started to come across some similarities between the 2 shows.

-Both shows have a "will they/won't they" vibe. F: Fry/Leela BOT: Ted/Linda

-Both shows are set in locales that provide BIZAAR scenarios. F: the 30th century BOT: R&D at Veridian

-Both shows have amoral, eccentric, uninhibited bosses. F: Prof Farnsworth BOT: Veronica ("Oooh, I like the way you say that")

Both shows have a small bu faithfull following. Let's just hope that whatever pilots that the cast is scooped up on, that when those shows fail, the ABC execs have pulled their heads out of their @$$es and realized what they had and give the show a 2nd life.
