So bitter sweet. Watched last episode :(

Great episode to end on, so good. Last episode, ever, so bad.

Cant believe this awesome show got a measly 2 [half] seasons.... 24 episodes is a crime against humanity

But at least we get 180 episodes of Two and a Half Men [sarcasm]

"huge glut of cheap reality shows"

That in my opinion is why shows simply dont get a chance. They either do well immediately or they are canned. No room on the air to cultivate anything. 60% of prime-time is gone to 20 sluts fighting over one loser or whatever crap fills the slot. Used to be a time when it was cheaper to let a show run a bit before replacing it. Now they literately have 50 reality show pitches sitting ready to produce in a week for nothing....

To be fair the networks have stepped it up and are airing some pretty good comedies right now (Community, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, The Office, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, and to a lesser extent The Middle and Cougar Town) so the ratio of good to bad sitcoms is way better than it's been historically.

When it comes to everything else though they're still pretty bad, but at least we've got great cable networks like AMC, HBO, Adult Swim, Showtime, Comedy Central (mainly for The Daily Show, The Colbet Report, Futurama, and South Park; everything else is crap) and FX to fulfill the rest of our quality tv needs.

No kidding! Last week I turned on 2.5 Men while my wife was sitting with me and a good 5 minutes of the 23 minute program was Charlie Sheen's character walking in on his brother while he was masturbating repeatedly.

My wife was like WTF? Is this supposed to be funny? I honestly had no answer for that.

My girlfriend asked me the same thing but I didn't answer...too busy spanking my monkey!
