Seriously? How I Met Your Mother has been one of the most popular sitcoms for years now. They should have known better than to use the same name as its main character for theirs.

That being said, I agree. It's a little ridiculous to say that a show didn't do well because the main character has the same name as one from a different show.

I strongly disagree. Many were onboard when it came to Ted in HIMYM. Most only REALLy hated Ted as well as HIMYM during the last 1 or 2 seasons. By that point, Better off Ted had already come and gone. As a fan of both, well a former fan of HIMYM, and don't think anyone could draw any sort of logical conclusion other than they had characters named Ted. If that were to hinder other stories, then we likely would hate all new movies and television all the time.
