No chance of redemption?

In almost all other Saw movie (except first one for some "non talking" character), every person tested has a chance to win the game.

In this one, William has to choose who will live and die. WHAT IN THE WORLD THOSES PEOPLES HAVE DONE for not even having a chance to save themselves?

Just think about the two hanged persons (old lady Addy and young boy). What did they do to deserve that... except for working for William?

We know that Jigsaw (John Kramer) choose those persons to play that game? But as the game go, Jigsaw is looking more like a murderer (even if its not really him doing it) than a savior.

OR...

Maybe Hoffman choose to change the rules of the games and make some of them dies.

I really don't know what to think about this...

I was talking about the two hanged persons... but the fate of thoses 6 in carousel trap is even worst. 4 have to die and 2 lives.

Yet again... theres fate are in William hands (lireraly). They dont even have a chance to save themselves and get redemption.

Thats just the way it works sometimes in Saw, one life is worth saving over anouther, and its defo jigsaws plan becuase if you look back to Saw quite a few people dident have a chance like the cell mate of amandas trap who had no chance to fight back :c

Pointing me out on spelling is just one hell of a poor argument..

Thats why I said "except the fisrt Saw movie". In every other (2, 3, 4 and 5), everyone in those traps had a chance of survival (some by there own means, other by will of other... bit still had a chance).

...

Hum! Thinking about it as Im writting... they still got a chance of survival if William choose them. But that means some other will die. That what Im thinking is unfair.

Every single victim has a chance to live, but that doesn't mean all of them will be able to be alive by the ending of the game.

William's game was based on how he worked at his job. He said the old people would have less chance of surviving, which means that the young people would be able to do so. When Jigsaw had his treatment denied, it was for the same reason.

I agree William couldn't save all the victims, but each singular victim had a chance of being saved, though that was entirely on William's choice. So, if you have a trap featuring 6 people ( only 2 may survive ), each person has a probability ( 1/6) of being chosen to leave. So, every victim has a chance of surviving, but they can't all survive at the same time.

That's Jigsaw's logic. He has made that since the first movie. Wasn't Adam meant to be killed by Gordon? Wasn't Zep meant to kill Dr Gordon's family if he had failed to kill Adam?

So, the game was already flawed in that regard, because even though every player get a chance, it wasn't possible to see all the test subjects winning that same game. If Gordon wants to win, that means Adam has to lose ( dying ). If Adam lives, that means Gordon's family must die.

So, there's that.

Well the whole point of the traps was to show William that he was already making those types of decisions prior to his test. He told John that he decides who lives and dies when they conversed about John's coverage. William had people on a real life carousel as he picked 2 out of 6 people to save based on his BS policy. The test was an up close and personal view of this for William. William struggled to make the sacrifices he made so easily in his everyday life. William went through hell to get to the end and ended up having his fate in someone else's hands. So the tables turned on him. The victims in the game were all considered crooks by Jigsaw as they assisted in killing people indirectly.

Yeah the logic is flawed throughout. John can say he doesn't kill people, but he does, because even if one person wins the game, that doesn't mean someone else won't die. One example that hasn't been mentioned is the breathing test between William and Hank the janitor. Whoever can hold their breathe the longest lives and the other dies. John is the one in the tape, so he obviously knows this.

Movies don't follow the laws of reality.

Hoffman doesn't play fair. His "games" are spoiling the legacy of Jigsaw. I think it's mentioned by his wife a one point or another, either in this movie or the next one. But, from what I've seen it's definitely the latter of your estimates.

but jigsaw was in the video at the beginning of this game, did he not design some of it?

yes this was probably the worst saw movie yet. Most of the victims had no chance and most didn't deserve to die.
