I thought Herzog/Lynch was sweet enough. Now this. incredible. This is Christmas

I saw him last night in "Revolutionary Road" and thought he was amazing. And when I looked him up and found out that he was gonna be in THIS, I nearly splooged. Herzog and Lynch are my two favorite filmmakers, and I have no reason not to believe this'll be the greatest movie ever made.

Herzog+Lynch+Dourif+Shannon+Dafoe all working on the same film will reach a critical mass of weirdness that will open a rift in the time-space continuum and suck us all into a world of dancing naked amputee monkeys and talking animate Spam.

I have my doubts about this movie, but it's a perfect vehicle for Shannon. Going solely by the trailer, he's in top form here.

I've only seen Michael Shannon in this and Bug.

Both movies by very well established directors who I usually enjoy. But both movies I found interminably boring and adolescent. I didn't enjoy Michael Shannon's performance in either of them, and won't be seeking out his movies in future.
