What a mess.! Had to force myself to contuine watching after 30 mins in. They needed someone to say no to ferrel this is what happens when you let him do whatever he wants.

Not quite.
This is what happens when you wait 10 years to make a sequel rather than striking while the iron is hot.
The whole film's so over the top. It's just too silly to be funny. Granted, I've seen silly movies that were hilarious, but this? It's just too much. You'd have to be a complete dope to think this movie is funny. A lot of the dialogue & certain scenes are just RIDICULOUS. The end was really painful to watch. The storyline had great potential, but they fell short.
And yes, all comedic actors should wear reigns controlled by someone else. Two words: Adam Sandler....
Some parts were hilarious, but some parts were more along the lines of "...really?"

shareI'm on my second sitting, that was last week. Not sure if I can last the full movie. My opinion is Ferrell thinks you can just combine random sentences and it will be seen as madcap hilarious.

shareThere were some funny parts but it seemed like it was put together in a piecemeal fashion. Not a good sequel at all.
shareI wonder how this movie could be completed when it was so disjointed.
There was no buildup for jokes, it was just wacky character after wacky character doing wacky things. There was too many scenes tacked on that weren't needed. Many scenes felt more like different sketches on SNL that needed a commercial break to continue onto the next scene.
Its a shame really.
