Did no one notice this major inconsistency? Crack wasn't even close to mainstream in 1980.
sharethe infamous Crack Epidemic began in 1983/4, and went right through to the mid-90's or thereabouts. hence 1991's "New Jack City" - a rather...alarmist piece to be SURE, but hey - it got the point across.
