Did the "diamond for nuclear codes" fight make any sense?

The female assassin got her diamonds, so what does it matter that she sees the microchip or whatever eye in Brandt? She got her diamonds for the codes, period. Not only shouldn't it matter, but there would also be no way for her to process what's going on. That these are not the real buyers, that the rooms and floors have been switched. She sees a weird eye and decides to duke it out?

Once she knew it was set up she most likely presumed that the diamonds where fake or she was going to be arrested as soon as the deal was done so her thoughts turned to how to get out of there and gain the upper hand by attacking first.
