Thanks. I'll check those out when I get a chance.
shareYou're welcome!
They aren't exact subject matches, but each of them has similar genre characteristics. Of course, I'd highly recommend the original (Let the Right One In) if you haven't already seen it.
Check back here and let us know what you think. Also, feel free to add similar titles.
Enjoy!
I actually saw LTROI before I saw LMI. 😀
How about Orphan? Young character who isn't quite what she seems to be.
Orphan is definitely a spot-on comparison. I didn't list it simply because I don't have it rated as high as the other films.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Here are some other Drama/Horror/Mystery movies though, personally, I'd give higher recommendations to those in my original post:
The Mothman Prophecies
Insidious
What Lies Beneath
The Jacket
The Exorcist III
The Vanishing
Devil
The Uninvited
The Forgotten
Cold Creek Manor
White Noise
Exorcist II: The Heretic
The Amityville Horror (2005)
The Unborn
"The Uninvited" - J-No
The Babadook is my favorite film of 2014.

I wish there were more films like The Babadook. An instant classic!
shareI would add "Byzantium". Like "Let me in" it lingers in your mind. It is also a different take on vampires.

I stumbled upon Byzantium a couple of months ago without ever knowing of it's existence. Fantastic movie. Other good recent lesser-known vampire movies:
Only Lovers Left Alive (2013)
Thirst (2009)
Stake Land (2010)
Daybreakers (2009)
Fright Night (2011) Remake
Afflicted (2013)
Spring (2014)

That didn't take long. Glad you enjoyed it! It's just top notch film making. Stunning cinematography with a really good story. I gave it 9/10. Too bad it never got a full release in the US and bombed at the box office.

Pretty sure she was an eternal vampire. Over a year since I've seen it.
