Similarities to Stephen King's It

I've noticed a lot of similarities to IT:

Both bullies (Kenny and Henry Bowers) are psychopaths

Both Kenny and Henry leave a wound or mark on a kid's chest or face

Both Kenny and Henry are attacked by the kid/kids they bullied

Both Kenny and Henry almost kill a kid, until they are killed or traumatized by the demon

Both feature a gang of bullies getting brutally murdered by the demon

The vampire is female, but actually male, while the clown is male, but actually female

Both use a nostalgic decade to feature kids' childhoods (It; 50s, Let Me In; 80s)

Both films are based off a novel

However, Let Me In doesn't include the adulthood aspect, unlike IT.

Technically, Kenny is involved but he doesn't almost kill a kid, it's his brother. I got the impression that Kenny didn't ever think it was going to go that far.

Abby is female. Eli is male, but Abby is female.

I didn't know that about the clown in IT, having never watched it. Interesting.

Let Me In is based on the first film, with added content from the novel, and new content that was in neither. I'm not saying this to try to lessen Let Me In, I don't see Let Me In being based on the first film as an issue.

Yes, a technicality, but it is what it is.

So it's based on both. Since it's not an issue, that shouldn't be a problem, right?

I can't believe I've still never watched It. I've seen one scene where the clown is in the sewer and it looked creepy as hell. I need to check it out.

The first part is great, but the second part is a letdown. There were quite a few scary scenes from the first part like Gerogie's death, the part where Georgie's photo album leaks blood and the blood that comes out of the bathroom sink in Beverley's house. I'd say, either rent it or watch it on Netflix (If they even have it)

Well I suppose I should watch it just so I know what everyone is talking about. If nothing else, I kinda want to see that creepy scene again.
