Why has this got such a good rating. I really couldn't find much worth praising and I'm not usually a moaner but so much didn't make sense and it just dragged throughout. Really boring basically nothing captivating in the whole film

I can understand people not liking the slow pace, people like different things, but what didn't make sense to you?

It definitely has a slow pace. That's not for everyone. Nothing wrong with that. I've felt the same about slow paced movies myself.

Personally, I like realism, even in fantasy movies.

Sure, everybody likes a good action movie, but in films like like Die Hard, especially episode 2 through to whatever it is at now, when things are so public and there's a disaster at every turn, it would be world-wide news and nobody'd get away with anything.

Obviously, Abby and her father or father-to-be can only get away with what they're doing, for years on end, if they're discreet - ie. slow-paced - and not leaving too much carnage in any one neighborhood.

I guess, if you want more action in this sort of "vampire moves into town" type of movie, watch Fright Night. More still? Watch 30 Days of Night.
