how did Chrome Skull kill the gas station attendant guy? It went so quick.. did chrome shot him in the head with the gun or what?? confused

Chrome Skull yanked up the shotgun to his face just as he pressed the trigger of the shotgun.

yeah, Chrome Skull shoved the gun up and, well, blew the guy's face off.
