So cliche and bad acting by the characters.

I didn't think it was as horrible as many claim here, but it surely didn't live up to the hype either.
Hall is very talented, and the FX work in the movie reminded me of Savini's work in the early 80's. He should probably focus on that element and find a director like George Romero, or Don Coscarelli who have lost their mojo and in need of a good splattermiester.
