Is there something wrong with my copy?

I bought it preowned from a seller on the Amazon Marketplace, and apparently it was an old rental copy from DVD Xpress (I think).

Now, the case doesn't indicate that it's the unrated director's cut.

Also, the only option on the main (only) menu is Play Movie. When I look at the title duration, it shows that there are 34 titles, Title 1 being the film. And also, no other audio tracks, subtitles or CC.

So it's a barebones copy and I wanna know if this is normal.

Sounds like a bootleg copy of the dvd. Find out and notify Amazon if it is. People should not sell copies of DVD's on Amazon. It's not fair to anyone.

I still think it may be a rental copy, cuz I once got a copy of Scary Movie 3 that was from that brand of DVDs that only last 24 hours and it was kinda the same deal... no extras, no subtitles or alternate audio tracks, et cetera.

But really, I pretty much gave the seller a bad review for not being more clear on the description.

many studios make "rental versions" of their movies for the different videostore chains. they're only available for rent at the stores and they are usually barebone affairs so its possible they just bought a copy the seller got from a videostore.

I'd say send that bad boy back, unless you don't mind the missing features. The regular version has an audio commentary, deleted scenes, a couple bonus featurettes, and the trailer. Most importantly, it has the option for English subtitles. I don't know about you, but I like to watch every movie with the subtitles on if I can (and it's not like I need them, but like a weirdo I actually enjoy the reading aspect).
