I havent decided whether the character is really stupid or the actress playing her is. From not noticing that she's torn the phone from it's reciever to asking the skull-faced killer if he's "from the police" there hasnt been a character this inept since the porn chick from Hatchet (a better film than this). Mind you this is all within the first six minutes of the film too. Also, why was there a post-it next to the telephone saying "For Emergency: Call 911!"? Was this in case any toddlers were watching? I really hope this movie gets better. I was expecting better from the director of Lightning Bug.

Well she's suppose to be suffering from amnesia so she probably wouldn't remember to dial 911...but yes, unless the cemetery dealt with amnesia sufferers on a daily basis, there was no need to have a post-it there.

^^ Severence. Even something like The Uninvited is more intelligent than this. Cool idea for a killer and decent acting from everyone else, but the lead in this film just ruined it.

If Severance failed then Laid to Rest completely crashed and burned. Just because slasher movies aren't Academy award winners doesn't give license for outright lazy film-making like this. And to the OP, let's not forget the scene where she's watching the video on Chrome Skull's camera as it's flashing "Battery Low" across the screen for a good two minutes and then acts all shocked and starts banging on it with her palm when the screen goes dark.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with your view. I didn't even like Severance all that much either. You're the one calling other people's tastes failures. You liked this movie, I didn't and I expressed that. Tough concept, I know.

Just watched this. I thought the movie was decent, but you're right, the lead actress was atrocious. One of the worst performances I've seen in an otherwise decent film. (I thought it was funny when somebody else said she did a good job when she was acting like the hooker! Ha, I thought the same thing when watching.)

I think a part of the problem was the crappy dialogue. She didn't have much to work with at the beginning of the movie. A person can have amnesia without forgetting the names of common things like caskets and funeral homes. It was so painful to watch her say things like "I woke up in the dead person box." Doh! Horrible horrible horrible.

She had A HEAD INJURY or HEad Trauma. and YES that DOES make you forget the names of common items and get confused. You tools just want your females saying expected stupid stuff like all the other heroines in these films as evidenced by you all saying "Shes great when shes all Whorey"...explains alot about you and your expectations on these films.

In answer to the original OP's question, I doubt it.

I'm a woman and can't stand actresses acting "whorey", as a previous poster opined. It's irrelevant whether or not the character had amnesia or a head injury. What the actress, and I use the term very loosely in her case, does NOT have are any acting skills at all.

I've already seen the worst movie ever made, so it can only be uphill from there.

this seems to be true about her acting. Bobbi Sue Luther has only been in a few movies since LTR. now she is producing a lot more

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today

she was bad, but I don't think people watch a movie like this for the acting.
