People feel sorry for this movie.

In my opinion the only reason I see so many high-rated reviews is because people just feel damn sorry for this movie and how bad it REALLY was. They know how bad it is yet they just have to give it a high rating because its SUPPOSED to be good right? Well...BS. It's not, this movie sucked.

People in this generation are just too easy to impress. Watched Iron Man 2 last night, and good lord it was boring. Just the same comments you've seen from the other reviewers: No action, no intense scenes, no good plot / story, and for god sake I don't know how ANYBODY can enjoy a movie that has nothing but constant dialogue. There was just way way WAY too much fricken' talking in this film. I actually felt like turning it off at one point because I just couldn't stand it anymore. Thankfully a more interesting scene would come just in time and kept me in it. As for the movie again, this one totally lacked everything Iron Man 1 had.

They absolutely do know the truth.

On the other hand, I did genuinely like the party and the race track scenes. I thought the third act was a bummer and the villain's personality got whittled down a little too quickly. I think I can get teens unfamiliar with Iron Man or who've seen fewer action movies than someone who grew up with 80's to some 90's films could probably get into this sequel.

LOL. The race track scene and the party scene were literally two of the three main action scenes that kept people interested in the movie. The part with Scarlett Johansson beating up all those guys in that facility was just lame as hell. Just the old fashion ``girl beats up a bunch of guys`` scene. The climax between
Whiplash and Stark / Rhodes just basically told the audience, ``yep, this movie is boring as *beep* and we all know it sucked, so were just gonna disappoint you even more with a lousy climax.`` The final fight was absolute BS that should have lasted much longer than a minute. I think kids that grew up in 2000's
would even hate this film because everyone expects to see Iron Man, not fricken Robert Downey Jr. and his acting performance.

I agree, the lamest, most anti-climactic final showdown in any recent superhero movie. Three years later and I still can't find many redeeming things about this movie.

reply

yeah, i don't understand the appeal one bit. it was all over the place.

i think this movie was made for 12 year old boys, honestly. it was either all pointless and look-what-we-can-do-CGI action or almost nonsensical dialogue. it's a really embarrassing movie and we honestly could have done without it

I love absolutely everything about Iron Man 2. I am riveted from beginning to end. It's not a movie I can watch while I multi-task. Once it starts, I'm glued. No sympathy for it here, other than all the bashing it gets from people, which I don't understand at all.

reply

I thought it lacked everything. Anyone who likes this movie must like boring super hero movies. Iron Man 3 however was a much better comeback.

reply

Yup, you got me. I just like boring super hero movies. No chance at all that different people can just have different valid opinions.

reply

Then I just feel sorry for you...

reply

Please don't bother.

Agreed

Iron Man 1 was okay, started great but ended a bit silly, Iron Man 3 was brilliant but Iron Man 2 was terrible.

bite your tongue

Iron man 3 is not an ironman movie at all

There are a lot of movies i don't like but i don't give them high ratings because i feel sorry for them, they get a low rating. The OP is doing what i call subtle trolling, and if he is serious then his logic is nonsensical and silly. Then again this is the IMDB, can't expect much from people here.
