Your idea for Iron Man 2

I was having a discussion with my friend on Facebook about how this was a movie that was good but needed some work. While talking I had a few ideas for an Iron Man 2 that may have been an improvement.

- Tony would not be dying. Instead he would be dealing with a PTSD problem due to his kidnapping. He's a guy who can put on a brave face but internally he keeps reflecting on what is probably the most horrifying moment of his entire life.
- As Tony is dealing with his PTSD he has begun to drink more heavily and this is having a detrimental effect on his relationships with Rhodey and with Pepper as well as his actions as Iron Man. Tony gives Rhodey the War Machine armor as a gift.
-Ivan Vanko would not be the villain here. Justin Hammer would be a combination of the two villains. Hammer's father and Stark's father were former partners turned into rivals and Justin has always resented Tony for the success he has had while Hammer has to stay in the shadows.
- Hammer would also be putting on a persona of being a bit of rube while secretly planning the destruction of Tony and Stark Enterprises.
-Hammer's plot involves the use of blueprints created by Howard and Justin's father during World War II which were for robotic protectors known as Arsenal.
- Hammer releases the first iteration of Arsenal in downtown LA and Tony, in a drunken stupor goes to fight the robot and has a terrible go of it. Arsenal puts Tony down with a barrage of attacks and totally wrecks his suit. It's only through a total stroke of luck (hadn't thought on what it was exactly) that Tony manages to defeat it.
- After the fight, Pepper confronts Tony about how he made a terrible choice in going against Arsenal and Tony yells at her and tells her to leave. She does very saddened.

These were just a few ideas I had. What did you think and what would your ideas be?
