No. And she's married to Happy. But the movies paired her with Stark because Hollywood.

IMO, Pepper is not annoying in the movies

No. She was cute and very likable in the comics. Earlier in the comics she was kinda annoying. In Tales of Suspense she was pretty much a one-dimensional stereotype of a women, but that's probably because Stan Lee didn't knew how to write female characters back then. She was great in Kurt Busiek's run. In movies she basically is portrayed as a personal a** wiper for Tony Stark. In comics Tony Stark was more independent and Pepper was simply his close friend that he respected very much.
