IM2 is not a bad movie, but wasn't as good as IM for reasons...

Out of all the solo Iron Man movies, I only really enjoyed the first one. IM: 2 started out really promising, especially how Whiplash introduced himself out on the racetrack, but then like you said it dragged too long in the middle, and then ended in a rush.

Nah, it is a very bad movie. One of the worst superhero movies to ever come out. Waste of life. I saw it theaters and loved every second of it. Bought it on bluray and didnt watch it for a while. Then finally I saw it before Avengers 2 again, and I couldn't believe how bad it was.

It happened with Guardians as well. The first i saw it, it was great, and then i saw it 2 days later and found it to be terrible.

Just my opinion.

First one is much better overall, though I honestly prefer the sequel's final battle over the one in the original. Even if Ivan was defeated rather quickly, the whole thing is entertaining through and through.

Anyway, the sequel feels less complete and impressive... but I like it.

The main problem this film had was that with the under-performance of The Incredibly Hulk, the whole weight of the MCU was riding on Ironman 2's success.
