I'm struggling to think of few things I've disagreed with more on here. The only thing I didn't understand is why he wasn't cast as himself. I doubt few would take issue with Combs being a record label supremo in this universe (well, in reality he's a better record label guy than he is a rapper). Hence why I think he's so good in the movie. He's slightly wooden and absurd. This isn't the first time unexpected characters have been used in comedies in this manner and it won't be the last. Half of the humour derived from the material and essentially the other half is the disbelief the figure is saying it.
Nothing will redeem him launching a career off of the death of someone more talented, but I will now principally think of this film when his name is mentioned.
Sayonara, not to be confused with cyanide, which is, of course, goodbye in any language.
