So I finally binge watched the end of season 5 and I feel cheated! What a load of crap season 4 and turned out to be. The changes in characters personalities and goal developments and the terrible story arcs. Getting rid of all traces of the old cast and losing ties to all adults other than the occasional mention. It was like drunken fan fiction written by a teenager off their adhd meds. I powered through to the end and I am grateful they didn't leave everything up the air but making Silver lose her baby and find out she has cancer was just awful. And how he hell are we to believe that Navid and the hell beast Adriana suddenly fall back in love? Annie and Liam I get... I was rooting for Adriana and Dixon... It felt so gratuitous to split them up as it ruined all traces of sympathy I had for her character. Annie... I liked her accidental hooked arc... although thought she could do better than Patrick as her Richard Here. The irritating little *beep* cousin from kansas was unnecessary. .although looked so eerily similar to Jenny Garth at her age she would have been perfect had she be cast differently. Michaela couldn't sing...and she was certainly never good enough to have been considered the next prodigy... stunning girl. ..good actress...ok voice and not believable. Teddy turned into a total dick... Liam made two movies in 17 months and managed tours etc? Killing off Riley... Austin virtually evaporating and he Vanessa storyline (i find the actress talented but punch able! ) And poor Niaomi and Max... I desperately wanted them to have their happy ending. They aged her character a decade almost overnight and made her so unlikable at times I almost turned off. So much crap packed into two seasons and yet in still glad I watched it...purely for the first 3 years. They had an opportunity for about 7 seasons based on everything up till the end of season 3. Giving them enough time to really develop and close off the characters and doing it in a natural albeit a dramatic way. What a water opportunity.

I could release a book about everything wrong with S4-5 of 90210. Season 1-3 had a lot of stupid stuff too, but those seasons are oscar worthy ones compared to the awul alternate future seasons 4 and 5. Such a waste of talent
