Why is everyone bashing the 3rd season?

4th episode in, and the only one I didn't like was the 2nd episode. I think it's hilarious.

It stunk.

I laughed a lot in the third series, but it was the weakest. One of the things I can't put my finger on is it seemed sort of depressing. The character did get given more depth, however you see Will, Jay, and Simon being depressed and frustated people in a different way from the previous two series.

Anyone else feel this way??

The Fashion Show, Will's Dilemma and Trip to Warwick were better than all of Series 2.

The other three were pretty much the worst ever episodes of The Inbetweeners though.

Fashion Show better than Work Experience or Field Trip? You're avin a bubble int ya?

Third season has some great laughs in it, I loved it

I think it just got so hyped so that's why everyone bashed the 3rd season. Apart from the Fashion show episode which I found ridiculous over all it was a pretty good season but I felt it was a bit rushed as it only had 6 episodes, I think it should of got 8 or 9

2012, what is that, an Olympic event?

reply

Although I enjoyed Season 3, it did seem weak compared to the first two, and considering the whole Tara storyline went on for half of the season, it didn't really have anything funny happen like when the guys went too Thorpe Park or the London Nightclub. Although they usually make six episodes every season, they should have atleast made Season 3 about 9-12 episodes, considering it is probably the final season.

I loved Season 3!

I enjoyed it, only episode I wasn't too keen on was Camping Trip where the others seemed uncharacteristically mean towards Will, burning his belongings and stuff. I mean, they've always took the piss out of him but throwing his things on the fire seemed a bit too much.

Still, thought it was a good series. Don't understand the dislike for it.

I loved the third season but it did feel weaker than the previous seasons to me. The show seemed to use more grossout humour and rely less on awkward teen humour that made the first two seasons so hilarious. It still had its moments but it just didn't seem as good to me.

Oh and last but not least, this is my signature.

It still doesn't have the worst episode of the entire show "The Duke of Edinburgh Awards".

That's the one with the old people's home isn't it. Where Will puts a wig in his pants because his pubic hair fell off?

That's the one. It has its moments (the first scene with Mr. Gilbert) but a lot of the jokes fall flat.

If there's one thing I dislike about S3, it's that the rest of gang seem more dickish to Will than usual, and that's saying something.

reply

Jay in particular is way more dickish, not just to Will but to everyone. He had always been a self-centered pathological liar, but when they introduced his father I felt bad for him and his character's actions more understandible. But in S3 they take him to an extreme level, especially with Simon's car, and the way he opened Will's dishwasher (who actually opens a dishwasher like that?)
