Anyone here read the Adrian Mole books?

I was just wondering if any fans of The Inbetweeners like the books in the Adrian Mole series. I finished the third series of The Inbetweeners the other day and it occurred to me how much alike Adrian Mole and Will are. Socially awkward, nerdy, unlucky in love, Will even looks like I always pictured Adrian. And I imagine Will's life down the line to be quite a bit like Adrian's. Forever slightly out of tune with the rest of the world, occasionally winning, but never a really successful love life. But great characters, both of them. Simon Bird would make a perfect Adrian I think.

I read them a long, long time ago but yeah, I can see a bit of a comparison between Adrian and Will. Now I'm going to have to re-read them!

Gubbi0 you don't have a two year old daughter and two years ago she was still two.

Yeah, I see what you mean. He probably would be a good Adrian, albeit in one of the later books.
