It's never revealed what the text actually said but in the movie:
Simon is going out with Carly at the start, so it can probably be assumed that the text said something in reciprocation. Considering his reaction anyway you'd imagine that, but it was probably the catalyst for them going out.

Only seen the movie once and I kinda figured that but I like the ambiguity to it.
shareSo Carly invites Simon around after he creepily writes all over her driveway.. And she has a boyfriend..so why does she invite him round later? Obviously he gets too drunk so we never find out but what were her intentions.. Make it clear to him she isn't interested, cheat on her boyfriend..or am I missing something?
