Has Anyone seen Fire In The Sky?

I saw the movie Fire In The Sky years ago and it scared the s**t out of me, this film, by comparison, didn't even come close. I liked the mocumentary element but over all it was no way near as creepy or as haunting to me as Fire In The Sky.

Yes it's definitely not as good as Fire in the Sky. And Fire in the Sky is a movie based on REAL events, one of the most famous UFO abduction stories in history. That's not to say the protagonists in that story were actually abducted by aliens, all Fire in the Sky tells is the different stories that the people really told, and that was a genuine missing person case.

But Fourth Kind's still a pretty good movie in a similar vein. The scene where the alien is drilling into Dr. Tyler's back reminded me very much of the alien drill scene in Fire in the Sky. I'd recommend this movie much more to fans of Fire in the Sky than to people who think it's going to be like Paranormal Activity or Alien Abduction: Incident In Lake County based on the fact that it purports to include genuine footage.

Another faked alien contact superstition piece.

Wow...movies aren't real? LOL.

Yes, Travis Walton and the whole crew make it all up for *beep* and giggles. They also were on Paranormal witness. There was some interesting things that the episode talked about that was not in the movie. But, I guess he wanted to have people point at him, call him and the rest of the guys liars and be the subject of ridicule for the rest of their lives.

Look, I do not believe every alien abduction story because dreams can be very lucid and there is someth8ing known as sleep paralysis. However, if there is other evidence supporting the possibility I will hear what the person has to say. I am open to all types of kinds of things and I think it is the arrogance of men who think that the only planet in the entire universe but us. I thin it is insulting to everything especially when countless people will believe in an invisible entity that they cannot see or hear and have not witnessed but are willing to believe it without proof except from a book that was written and interpreted by a select few and then have the audacity to say that "we" know more about the Bible or whatever holy book than we do anything else. I think when it comes to that book, the people who have interpreted it put in only what they want and it is decided by certain people and certain people only.

I think that there is the possibility of all types of things that can occur. I also find it hilarious that when it comes to scientific data that they think it is only a theory and do not believe it or anything where there is scientific proof or at least enough data supporting it.

You wither believe in possibilities or you don;t. But please spare us this whole thing about the bible being real and true, about God being real and true but that life outside of Earth is not. The truth is that no one really knows. Having faith is not a bad thing, but to say that one thing is true with no evidence to support it and then to say that something else is completely false when there is some possible proof is total *beep*

Fire in the Sky has one really great alien sequence thats like 10 minutes long and the rest is court/small town drama its a pretty good film but it only offers a bit of alien fun

I have not seen Fire in the Sky but this movie reminded me of the TV movie Intruders.

Yes I saw tghe film in movies and I have the Book autographed by Author Travis Walton at Mufon Coference in Pittsburg Pa on Oct 13-2012

I saw Fire In The Sky meny years ago, but i think the movie is just to borring. There is way to much small town drama in it, considering how long the ordeal of the guy is suppose to have lasted, who could have made a good alien movie.

But it wasn't necessarily about the aliens. It was a great mystery movie that tried to show what really happened without implicating anyone in particular. It told both sides of the story (including what the law thought). What ruined Fire In The Sky for me was was going into the abduction side too much. It was trying so hard to battle between fact vs. fiction. What that means is, the film's objective was to tell a true story. It did, but when it went to the alien part, it felt like the film was straying away from the true side of it, and just made something that would satisfy american audiences. I think that if they didn't show anything about the aliens other than his abduction, it would've been a lot more compelling and a lot more scarier. That's what films like Signs and The Fourth Kind did. They held on to the mystery of the aliens which made the first person experience even more scarier.

I disagree. The best thing about Fire in the Sky was the alien abduction scenes near the end. If it weren't for them, Fire in the Sky would've been nothing more than a cheesy TV Movie drama that never would have made it to theaters. Nope, it's good as is.

reply

Yes, once. It freaked me out so bad I've never been able to watch it since that one time.
