Offensively inacurate

I watched this movie about 2 years ago and I'm still bothered by how inaccurate it is to Alien lore.

It's hard to find a single movie that nails the real stories about abductions, but how they use the material determines how good the film is regardless.
This film takes every cliche there is and shoehorns it into one encounter.

It's simply lazy.
A film like Dark Skies gets it right, despite pandering to the Paranormal Activity/Insidious formula, they still seem to have done their research, while not depicting 'experts' on the topic as crazy people.

"real stories about abductions" huh? LOL. So this movie doesn't portray aliens the way that you think they are? Did Star Wars portray Gungans the way you thought they are?

How can you base on a reality that does not exist? There are no 'real' stories of abductions. Your UFO 'experts' are as 'expert as Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker are on the subject of God, and of the same ilk.
