Was anyone disturbed by the real Abbey Tyler's face?

I tried to watch this online a few days ago, but only got like 30 min into it and the movie just wouldnt play. Anyways I was glad it messed up because it was horrible to watch a torrented version of it. Because of the split screen stuff.

But anyways when the black guy is interviewing the real Abbey Tyler, I was expecting her face to be pixeled out. It wasnt. And OMG, I jerked back in my seat when I saw her face. The lady looks like shes been tormented her whole life, she was like bug-eyed, and her little mousy voice... ugh!

I dont know why she disturbed me so bad. She just did. And I was wondering if it had the same effect on anyone else.

But anyways I'm gonna go see this movie at the movies or just wait for the DVD. Because I found this movie very interesting and really creepy. And I infact think it's real. Despite everyone hating on it.

When I saw her I immediately thought she must have been through some kind of trauma.

There is no footage of the 'real' Abbey Tyler because she is not and never was a real person. All the so-called archive footage is fake. Do your research.

When the wind blows it's almost like I see her in the Hamptons...

reply

it should have said "Real Alien" not "Real Abbey" because she looked a lot like a "real" grey/gray.

I just watched this and the 'real' 'Abbey scared me out of my wits! SHE looked like an alien!

You bet she had been through a trauma.

Being reduced to acting in this ghastly dog of a film would be traumatic enough for anyone.

Is there anyone over the age of ten who really swallowed this silly tale?

I hate to make value judgments about the appearance of a person "in public," but that lady's face was so distracting that I really was totally disturbed by the film in the wrong places! hehe Anyway, to me, she looked like Emily Rose when she was completely possessed (no disrespect to Jennifer Carpenter who played ER, cause I love her!). I just kept calling her Emily Rose throughout the movie. It wasn't exactly as I expected, but I did like Fourth Kind and will watch it again on Directv when it comes on, but that lady bugged me (so did her exhorbitant amount of screen time too!). More Corey Johnson, more Will Patton, more Hakeem Kae-Kazim, more Elias Koteas, more anyone but her!

She reminded me of the grown up version of Lucinda in "Knowing"

^^Agreed! More Elias Koteas, Will Patton & Hakeem Kae-Kazim!!

If they ever make another installment of BLAIR WITCH, one where they'll actually show what the witch actually looks like, this actress would be perfectly cast. I'm not kidding.

Yes, I was very disturbed. It is because she is ugly as *beep* and that disturbs me greatly.

Yall are hilarious as hell. Seriously, I laughed hard after reading these responses, leave that poor woman alone, yalld probably look like that too if you went thru that stuff.

The movie IS fake. Even the "real" footage wasn't real. The "real" Dr. Abigail Tyler was played by Charlotte Milchard. Her name appears in the credits of the DVD as a Nome Resident.

reply

It may have been fake... but her face was still overly gaunt looking, especially if you see what the actress who plays her normally looks like. I have to give credit where credit is due, as the 'real' Dr Abbey Tyler at the very least, looked like a woman whose really been crippled, had her child abducted by aliens and gone through pure hell over the past five years.

I had not realized that Charlotte Milchard, the actress playing the 'pretend real' Abbey Tyler character, was a Londoner. She certainly has a unique look, quite 'alien' in fact.

The real Abbey Tyler's face? It made me want to punch her in the face.

That's a good point. Maybe that's why she was picked.

But I have to say I don't think she's all that ugly. Googled her image and she just looks like an ordinary woman to me. No oil painting, but if I had to choose between a genuinely ugly woman, (say, Sarah Jessica Parker), and her, I'd pick her.

exactly. alien lol
