Why is a British woman playing the daughter of a New Jersey gospel singer?

Her mannerisms are way off and she obviously didn’t understand Whitney Houston’s personality haha.

Whitney is probably rolling around in her grave right now.

I seem to remember Whitney being incredibly attractive. The casting department have really dropped the ball on this one.
