What did he say to the Italian waitress?
When he's in the restaurant trying to get back with his ex, he starts flirting with the Italian waitress in Italian. What does he say?

shareWell I'm Italian, I first watched the movie dubbed in Italian and they made him speak French with the waitress in that scene.
After reading your post I was curious so I rewatched that scene with the original audio and... well... I could barely understand what they said.
Waitress: Mr. Morra good evening
Eddie: Good evening, so..... (babbling, he doesn't say any actual Italian word here)... is it true?
W: Yes, sure!
Eddie: (Babbling again)... not too much... in the plaza (???)
W: No no no, (now she babbles too)
Eddie: Very well, thank you so much.
W: Thank you.
In the Italian dubbing, where he speaks French, they made him REALLY speak French, asking the waitress if the ingredients they were using were organic (lol).
Hahaha that's funny, I can't believe they used gibberish and not real Italian. I thought they only did that for languages like Arabic or Mongolian or whatever, not Italian.
Thanks for the translation!
Yeah that's weird, I realized that speaking Italian is generally quite difficult for Americans with no prior knowledge of the language.
Here in Italy they often use Holliwood actors for some commercials on TV and they make them speak Italian (the last one airing these days is Bruce Willis starring some mobile operator commercials), and it's clear they don't have a clue of what they are saying!
But using gibberish in a movie is quite unbelievable in this case.
Maybe the NZT wasn't enough for learning Italian in a few days and he was faking that in the restaurant? :P
In any case I'm happy they chose that classy restaurant to be Italian and not French hahah.
Haha yeah maybe he met the waitress beforehand and said I want to impress my girlfriend but I don't have time to learn Italian, how about I just give you $20 and you play along. Maybe NZT just gives you confidence and makes you a good actor ;)
shareHaha that's funny they changed the language for your dubbed version. I speak Italian as well (poorly) and also didn't understand it, I thought that was just me lol so good to know you didn't too. I got the "true" part, and also didn't she say something about an ingredient...I've forgotten what...I'm sure I heard a word for some type of food?
Bradley Cooper speaks really good French, they should have made him speak French.
He does speak French quite well. It doesn't make sense to choose a language he doesn't know over one he masters...
