Why the lawyer didn't deliver the pills?

The lawyer was working for the man doing the merger with Deniro. This man was also on the drug and had run out. They figured a way to get the stash from Morra, but they never delivered it to the man.

Morra told this to the assassin to get him on his side to visit the lawyer.

He then finds the stash on the lawyers safe.

Why wasn't delivered on time to the man? (I saw the film on tv so I am guessing that maybe a scene was edited out or something) thanks.

maybe lawyer wanted it for himself or was on someone elses payroll? never really got explained i guess.

I just watched this on TV.There is a fairly clear scene with the scarred guy who was working with Attwood (now dead) and the lawyer (looks dead too).

The lawyer kept the pills for himself, was plainly tortured, and Morra finds them in the lawyer's safe with scarred guy's help- as his employers were out of commission.

I might wonder why the scarred guy did not want them; squeamish? People are pulling this movie and its plot to pieces! I'd prefer to enjoy it.

Anyway, we know why the lawyer did not deliver.

Because he was greedy and wanted the pills for himself.

Maybe the lawyer was working with the wife against her husband. After she said her husband was in the hospital and left Eddie told De Niro there was no way that the husband would give anyone a power of attorney no matter how sick he was. Then she was on TV saying there was never going to be a merger.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else
