Nothing exact known.. but you know most of these films are based on real legends..

The closest thing is serotonin.. The Amazing Spiderman feeling is dopamine.. closely related but different to adrenaline.. dopamine is the lesser fear adrenaline..

So taking ecstasy will teach you good from bad..

Like a good hearted economy that would fix every surplus/deficit..

A deficit is when something is in debt.. rather than credit..

No country (maybe literal except one or two) have a surplus.. instead they have a debt..

No country is good or skillful.. in terms of debt..

But ecstasy is also a speed (a fast).. and mawi wawi.. is a depressant.. or a reverse speed (a slow)..

Different drugs then access serotonin and dopamine and the other transmitters or a combination of some.. on top of the speed of the drug..

There's only the Jupiter walk and the Moon walk..

What I'm trying to say is entropy..

In Patch Adams the head doctor says.. it is human nature to lie... take shortcuts, to lose your nerve, get tired... make mistakes etc..

Taking a speed or a depressant.. *beep* you up..

Your heart and brain can't take an increase or decrease too much.. your heart can't only not beat too fast.. it can't stop either or get too slow..

Same with everything.. literally everything vital.. you can't take too much or die without it.. like water for example..

The hitpoints level and money work in the same way.. there's negative infinity and positive infinity and nothing else.. that isn't in between..

My guess would be our continued evolution.

Here are a few ideas which drive my thinking...

Drawing a line for human progress in thought and reasoning. I see this line moving generally upward from generation to generation throughout human history and beyond.

Mankind possesses motivation to improve upon its existence. Why? It is this motivation that leads me to believe improvement will continue. If nature were finished with our cognitive progress, I don't think we would continue to have this motivation. I.e. even the imagination to dream up this film or an audience who is intrigued by it.

I think our innate motivation for cognitive evolution is so strong, that we are currently in a phase of our development which attempts to supplement some natural ability with technology (as apposed to an attempt at chemical enhancement). Though, a chemical attempt may be next. Either way, I don't think we will rely upon any artificial and/or temporary solution forever.

I believe that as a species we are continuously making mating selections which promote cognitive growth. I think this is a strong natural force behind population growth. Increasing the gene pool to increase variables for selection.

I don't think we will see a plateau in cognitive development until we see a reduction in population growth rates. I think the two are directly connected.

I have this funny analog for human development that I use as a personal visualization. Mankind is a massive bucket of brain goo which is in the process of two things, 1) growing in mass and density 2) Taking form. I believe these two functions are recursive.

What I'd really enjoy discussing with anyone who is interested, are any thoughts/theories on where we may be headed. I think no other topic is more fascinating or fun. What will humanity be (physically/mentally) in 10,000... 100,000... years?

Would love to hear your ideas! I don't think any concept or speculation is not worth sharing. So please, fire away if you have any thoughts.

Could be creatures can't get any smarter than present day humans. That's the best nature can do. Elephants and whales/some porpoise have giant brains but aren't smarter. The complexity involved is a limiting factor as it goes up exponentially with intelligence.

Pills won't make you smarter just faster thinking and more alert, probably at a cost to your organs. An engine can worker harder but it will burn out if not designed for it. If you're stupid you'll just be thinking stupidly faster.

The drugs commonly used as "study drugs" help increase concentration.

Any kind of medication that is used to treat ADD/ADHD is often used for that purpose.

These are mainly Ritalin, Adderall, Concerta and Focalin (all prescription drugs). Basically all drugs that include Methylphenidate.

But they are not even close to fantasy drug in the movie. There is no more clarity or a deeper understanding. You just keep going.

These drugs are not smart drugs even though often claimed by the media. They just help ppl. with concentration issues to concentrate closer to a normal person.

Ppl. not having issues usually can just go longer with what they are doing.

They are taken once you started studying for a while, because the concentration these drugs create is actually that you getting kinda "glued" to your current activity as the current action give you a euphoria with what you are doing at the time the drug kicks in.

You will not get smarter, you will not study better, you just can go longer with what ever result it will give a person. You will keep doing what you are doing.
