I'm 50 and remember when this actually happened. This movie ranks right up there with" All The Presidents Men". How is it possible that this movie did not receive 1 nomination for any category for the Academy Awards or Golden Globes? Its almost like "THEY" wanted this movie to disappear!

shareWhich category deserved a nomination though? The acting was fine, but I wouldn't consider any of it award worthy. The storytelling was rather shoddy and there was nothing special with either the cinematography of direction. It actually seemed like a very weak film.

I have seen so many refutations of Leen's analysis - not very flattering I might add - that it seems the truth lies somewhere else.
Maybe too many "F" bombs? Not a prude, but I do not recall any movie that I had seen with so many "F" bombs...very good movie though..one scene irked me,, the one where his son tells him he was disappointed in him for being with another woman at one time. BTW, what happened to the missing motercycle? Was it the son that took it and showed it later? I don't think so.

shareIts almost like "THEY" wanted this movie to disappear!I'm not sure who the THEY are, to whom you refer, but the film wasn't widely seen, some maintain, due to poor advertising, promotion and distribution. Generally the films that are nominated for the awards have a pretty wide release. I have to admit (and I found the film interesting) that until I saw the film recently on TV, I'd never heard of it before.🐭 share
