i saw it

its what you'd expect......

though - I prefer the phantasm balls :o)

outlander is marginally better - if only for the comedy vikings/spaceman vs Alien/Predator - but just as unexciting.

I read that it does explain what happened to Peter Wellers character elsewhere on the net and that it was pretty bad. Also, someone said Lance was only in about 5 minutes of the movie.

How much CGI did they use and did the Cirius 6b (Sorry I forget exact name and spell) look pretty decent or like a Arizona and/or Nevada?

Thanks in advance,
Dean

Yes, Wellers fate was explained, and it was stupid. Not so much his fate but how apparently Earth blew off his messages/warnings like he was a shell shocked looney tune.

There wasnt much CGI. The low tech screamers looked very fake. The only decent effects were in the last 10 minutes when you see the effect thats shown on the cover. Cirius6B looked like Arizona. It was mainly close up shots of rock faces. The atmosphere looked just like Earth with no alternate moons or planets to be seen.

And just a sidenote--Outlander was so much better than this in every way IMO.

This doesnt suprise me and I have read bad things about it elsewhere. While I gave Screamers an 8/10 and love that movie, a sequel 13 years later to a movie that didnt do well is probably not going to have much of a budget.

The original Screamers gave the feel of being on another planet and the acting and story was good.

One other question: Did they have to smoke the cigs in order to breath properly in the atmosphere like in the first movie?

I actually enjoyed it and found it much better then I was expecting.

No breathing cigs. They were able to breathe without equipment, and when they landed they said radiation levels were stable. The only thing they wore was a small device to be invisible to screamers(At least to the basic underground ones). Something so important to stay alive and guess where they kept them? Velcroed on their arm. One guy lost his of course on the first day there. The only black guy in the film gave him his device--the black guy was dead 2 minutes later. :P

reply

That same device was in the first movie as well, only they were in the form of watches then, I believe. But its the exact same device.

reply

A watch would've made much more sense. I couldn't believe something so critical would be velcroed on the outside of their shirt sleeve. I know it's a tiny detail but it bothered me. :P
