Quick review:
It was a typical "B" scifi. If you go into it without expectations, you will at least be entertained. The human prototype screamers were done way better in this film than in the original (IMO) and packed a bigger punch this time around with more gore effects. The plot is a waste of time with holes and back story never explored, but I honestly didn't think the original was that thought-provoking either. If you are screamers fan, you probably will say this is a sh*tfest, but if you are a "B" scifi fan, you will probably be entertained.
