My Review of the Movie

Where to begin? damn, I cant believe that they would totally ruin
to what should have been an awesome sequel to a really good
movie Like Screamers.

I was excited to watch this movie Being a huge fan of the 1st movie and
I tried to like this movie, after 30min I kept thinking ok it will
get better But it never did it only got worse and worse.

So by the end of the movie I was so glad it was over the agony wouldn't end fast enough.

list of problems -

1-extremely Sub-par acting. At some points its even laughable.
most of the time its just agonizing.

2-Peter Weller's Character from the 1st movie is Briefly described in this movie as having committed Suicide OR blowing up his ship just as it returned to earth because "maybe" their was a screamer on his ship? - Well that's just crap and anyone who liked the first movie will not want to hear that, they should not have killed him off.

3-Really Low budget, which isn't necessarily bad IF you have good Actors
who can Outshine the low quality of the film budget. But sadly this is not the case for this movie.

4-All of the actors are about the same age? except for one guy who I cant
remember his name off hand and I don't see his name listed in the actors list.
But He is a good veteran actor But it doesn't help in this movie.
-- Anyways all the Actors Look the Same age? Like they all came from the same
acting class?? which is just weird unless your making a teenage horror flick?

5-A screamer gets on board the ship - But we have no idea how that happened or why didn't more get on the ship later in the movie. makes no sense.

6-No character development at all so you could care less that people are getting killed - actually the opposite happens, the acting is so bad your glad when they get killed off.

Just too much to list here, watch the movie and expect nothing at all and that's what you get nothing.

Rescue mission goes wrong "don't care"
Bad actors getting killed by screamers "Laughable at best"

and so on and so on.

I loved the first movie, too. I didn't hate this sequel, but it does have its moments.

The main character was supposed to be the daughter of Peter Weller's character, so that was as much backstory as we really got. I wasn't happy with his supposed suicide at all. But we do know from the ending of the first movie that there was a screamer on the ship with him. That teddybear thing.

This movie did have a crappy script. And after all the years that passed, there was no way there were any humans left alive on that planet. Especially, fairly young humans. No way. So I thought they should have all known much better than that.

Lance Henricksen's character got killed off way too fast. I'm guessing he may actually have been human, but I suspected he might have been a hybrid.

The ending was way too set up. She had sex with him way too fast and easily. And the shocker ending just felt forced.

They were never going to top the first movie anyway. But I know we were expecting something more. This just felt too much like an Aliens/Terminator crossover.

I still didn't hate it, but it's not what I would have wanted for a sequel to Screamers.

this movie was crap indeed so why not add to the list of problems ;)
- if these "machines" were so sophisticated why they didn't know how to fly a ship?
- why did the girl break the memory stick.. after all if was useful information on to be passed on.. and the captain actually died for it
- why the hell did the screamers keep the men in the cave alive for years if there was no energy to function?

I agree, lots of holes in the movie.

Like when they said the screamers were now more advanced than they were 13
yrs ago? like how? they didnt do anything special that wasnt done 13yrs ago.

and if the screamers were so advanced why did they keep using the screamers they found in the factory from 13yrs ago?

Yeah aside from the other points about this film,

How could she not expect a ship that size not to be full of hidden screamers, especially after the story about her father. Yet they just head off to earth without even searching it and go to sleep.

Who cares if the guy turned out to be one, the whole ship could of been full of them anyway.

I want to know why cutting the power of the old guys hideout would cause a self destruct timer

Just to expand your list of flaws on the retarded rescue "soldiers", I thought i'd come with some tactical flaws:

13:00 They have no planning? Just a 5 min talk about what they're going to do - no proper briefing, no intel, no assignments, no planning. When they land, they're not even ready to leave the spacecraft! And why is it that they all know something different, but everyone knows something?

16:00 They certainly do not move very tactically. At the beginning they're almost strolling along, chatting and having fun. There's absolutely no eyes out in the terrain... they're all looking at their feet!? Geez...

27:10 On which mission would you EVER want to let your entire group sleep at once!?

31:30 I love this part - One of the girls yells in a firefight: "Commander I see two scouts - They're both positioned on the ridge above you!". What kind of a mind numbingly stupid, retarded, brainless soldier would reveal the position of their ranking officer to enemies!? I would shoot her myself.

40:30 The commander has a tough tactical problem - his group of four (or five, whatever) soldiers must neutralize a single enemy soldier, who is by the way armed with a bow. How does he do that? By doing nothing. He sends his lieutenant to scout, she comes back and informs everyone (in a very loud tone of course), that they can OUTFLANK the enemy solder!? Wow. And who's going to sneak in first? The commander does not decide. On the other hand he lets to of his men discuss who's going to do it!? So much for leadership.

43:00 I got tired of watching this nonsense. I am a fairly tolerant movie viewer (i watched almost 45 min of the worst movie of the century) - but this movie... omg its bad.
