I am big fan of the first 'Screamers' - should I watch this?
I don't want to be disappointed.

better don't watch it - it sucks.
Personally I am a big fan of the original movie.
No, seriously, don't.
As far as I'm concerned, this movie doesn't even exist anymore. It is THAT BAD.
If you watch it, you can't un-watch it. So do yourself a favour: Watch the old one again. Enjoy the un-spoiled classic.
Make up your own mind, don't have any expectations, and it should be fine.

Because it doesnt live up to the original :P, I like the original, and watched it, it was ok; cliche filled, bad writing, some things didn't make sense, or tie in with the original.
shareI'm sure you can dream of a better Screamers sequel, even if you put a lot of porn and crappy gore effects in the sequel than this, it's the kind of movie that start with a random title and end with ''it's so bad, make this worthy and make this some sort of a sequel to Screamers'' ! It's like Scanners 4, nothing to do with the 1st movie !

The original had good acting, excellent timing and spacing and was exciting as hell all the way through. This one was sloooooow and had a lousy soundtrack. I had to turn the sound up and down all the way through so I could at least understand the actors, but not get blown away by the fx.
I am kind of a 'Dick'head, reading all his stuff and seeing most of the movies from his stuff. This was the worst.
Complete waste of time, don't even think about watching this crap if you don't want to ruin your impressions from the original.
