the prisoner scene

The prisoner scene left me with some questions that nobody seems to have addressed:

1.) How did the human survivors manage to capture those three screamers as prisoners? All three appeared completely unscathed, which implies that they were somehow incapacitated, but the only weapons the humans had were guns.

2.) What exactly was the dissection table used for and why were there human bones everywhere?

Please tell me if I'm missing something or if you have any of your own theories/explanations regarding these questions. Thanks!

By 1) we must assume they got trapped somehow and perhaps with some sort of electromagnetic device. How exactly is another story and irrelevant to ours.

By 2) either they actually feed of the hybrid screeners as they do consist of biological material of sorts or the table is when they study them, to lean about what and how they work. The bones is thus not human but part of these hybrids architecture. Keeping them alive makes the most sense if for food, but for fresh study subjects I suppose keeping them alive is also sound
