How Far Did You Get?

I knew I had to see this movie after hearing how bad it was. I made it about halfway through the sweet sixteen party and I absolutely couldn't go any further (consequently, I barely made it through the opening titles of Date Movie). Can anyone else beat this?

reply

Yes. I finished it and enjoyed it. Deal with it.

I don't plan on watching, maybe if I get really bored, I'll download it and watch it just for something to do, lol.

I lasted about 20 minutes, when they started singing at the sweet sixteen party thats when my TV went off, this was easily the worst movie ever made!

about 20 mins if I remember correctly

I lasted 15-20 minutes. I don't understand how anybody could find this film the least bit funny when none of the jokes made any sense at all. It was just complete nonsense.

reply

They throw out like a million jokes and IMO hit about one out of ten so I watched for that, and also I was laughing so hard at how bad it all was that the few actual funny parts became funnier. There were some. 3/10 for me.

I guess that makes me like this movie's biggest fan, lol.

the birthday party. a few weeks ago i downloaded it on itunes and watched the whole thing over the course of 3 days because it was so boring. I didnt laugh once.

Some people () are fans of nonsense in artworks. Seriously. "Absurdism", particularly, has a lot of fans, and it has a close relationship to nonsense. I try to focus on absurdism in my own work.

Nonsense isn't just present in comedies, by the way. Much of Alice in Wonderland is focused on nonsense (although relatively clever nonsense in its case).

I got to the 56 movie mark and had to stop. I love parody movies but this one wasn't so much a movie using pop culture references to make the movie funny as it was a hodgepodge of awful nods to stuff that sucked the first time (ie 10,000 BC? Really?) The best and only funny part was the Superbad nod.

This is hands down the worst movie ever. I cannot believe it got greenlit.

I think I got up until Juno hit someone over the head with a guitar. Probably further, but that's the last thing I remember...

The glass chewing scene. Then I was like "that looks more fun than watching this movie" so I stopped it and went looking for a glass bottle to eat. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one, so I'm stuck here remembering the film.

Not sure. It was about the time some fat guy had to curve a bullet around a hunk of meat or something that I walked away. I hadn't wanted to see it anyway, someone else did and I went with them. It's amazing how monumentally stupid so much of our modern entertainment is. Where is humanity headed?

reply

Same here: halfway through the sweet sixteen party. I just couldn't watch it anymore, one of the worst pieces of garbage I've ever seen.

Where are the old good Scary Movies? THOSE were good parodies, they don't make them like that anymore...
