The ending at the road block (before the actual ending) was boring. The good ending would have been that everyone of the polices and bootleggers would have empty their guns on Charlie Rakes before he shot multiple times Forrest Bondurant.

Perhaps the ending, like the rest of the film, could have been better edited, and perhaps that is what made it feel somewhat lacking. But your alternative suggestion suffers from being an unclear sentence.

I for one found the movie well scripted and again proved tom hardy , Gary oldman , Shia labouff , guy pierce etc etc all doing steering performances , I'm just a movie lover and really really enjoyed this movie immensely .... despite not being everyone's cup o tea !! Peace yall
