My favorite theory on Fawcett....

Read a book when I was a kid that told this story. Supposedly an Amazonian Indian tribe had a story about a crazy white guy who went "jungle" and fought with the Indian tribes and lived out his days in the wild. Who knows though what really happened with him.

The only thing that we know for certain is that Fawcett vanished in 1925. At this point in time all we have are guesses, some of them probably very good, but guesses nonetheless.

I'd like very much to think that he found the city that he sought, and who knows? He might have done so. Or he might have died on his way or on coming back. There is just not enough evidence to say with any finality one way or the other.
