Vincent D'Onofrio hamming it up

He was one take away from putting on a wig and dancing around the set. This is acting with a capital A stuff here. What was a small underwritten and bland role - he has made sure that's not the case - with weird tics or a neurological impairment and excessive hand sanitizer usage. About the only thing missing from his performance is biting into an apple after he delivers a line of dialogue.

He gives value for money.

you should check out The Salton Sea - one of the last good Val Kilmer movies (Spartan as last). It's also the movie that made DJ Caruso's career.

D'Onofrio is the heavy in that, and he's BRILLIANT. but yeah, hammy as Easter Dinner.

As Private "Pyle" in Full Metal Jacket IMO is his best performance. That insane look in his eyes was scary.

I can't watch him in a movie without thinking of "Full Metal Jacket". Stanley Kubrick definitely got his best performance out of him.

I have a question about his character. Why wasn't anything shown after he told the warden to keep him in forever? I was waiting for him to be killed or beaten or thrown into a jail himself.

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog

Well he did end up stuck in his car inside a container.. Pretty sure he died from heat.

Vinny D was hilarious. Plus, the law of conservation of characters meant he wouldn't just be a useless supporting role. Pretty sure it was improvised.

THAT was a true LAUGH-OUT-LOUD comment! Thank you!

Cats are delicate dainty animals who suffer from a variety of ailments ... except insomnia.

How about his character Detective Robert Goren in Law & Order: Criminal Intent always tilting his head when he interrogates a suspect. One episode he jumps on the counter of a pharmacist, the pharmacist says something and his partner Detective Alexandra Eames says "It's ok he does this all the time".
