Couldn't understand Sylvester Stallone

I like Sly and his films.

But this was one of the worst ever for not being able to understand a word he is saying, to the point where it made the film unenjoyable at times.

I swear he said 4 lines at times. and I didn't get a single word he said.

Even makes you wonder how at the beginning he was cast for movies. It must have been a huge risk to employee him when you can't hear what he says!

reply

I had the same problem.

I really struggled to understand what he said at times.

I know he is somewhat known for his unclear speech however this is the first time I've watched one of his films and couldn't determine his dialogue.

reply

I agree - there was a lot of mumbling. However, the plot was generally so absurd, I doubt he would have added much value!

reply

I had the same problem. I had to put on the subtitles.

Did you engage hostiles? I *vaporized* hostiles.

reply

I understand him just fine. 

Who says violence is not the answer?

reply

I heard every line loud and clearly

I heard him just fine too. He has a deep voice. I rather listen to him than watch any kind of captions. I think captions should of never been invented and just all foreign movies just be converted to another language no matter how much it costs. Captions are the worst invention to me.

No more IMDB boards for me!

reply

Converted into another language?

No, thank you, I would like to listen to the actors themselves, not some actor from my country (Norway) reading Arnold's lines in Norwegian.

I use captions all the time, even when I watch Norwegian films.

reply

So according to you, deaf people just should not watch movies...
Caption-hate, the most senseless and moronic form of hate!

Dubbing - now THERE'*S something that can ruin almost any movie!

reply

Yeah Sly should spit the marbles out of his mouth. Damn
