The finale of this...

Was phenomenal! The last 20 minutes or so, on the trains, was a technical tour de force, including comedic acting, paving of the action, special effects, but most especially the use of the Lone Ranger theme, the William Tell overture.

It had horses on trains, guns, explosions, damsels in distress and a whole hoot of silly fun. Felt like a kid again watching this. And I don't usually like Johnny Depp but now I think I get him more than I did. I can't believe this film got slated so much by critics. Yeah, it's slow in the middle, but really it's good old fashioned unpretentious entertainment, with an excellent cast, to boot!

Yep. Excellent movie with the best adventure finale in years.

Way better than the usual CGI slugfest most superhero movies end with.

Good old fashioned fun and quality filmmaking.

When the Lone Ranger started galloping across the rooftops to get to the train and the WTO started cranking, the audience in my theater went nuts.

I agree. The final chase scene is outstanding. One of the better action scenes in the past decade. It's too bad the rest of the movie is so scattershot.

I’ll add a little asterisk to it to say it was a major disservice that they put the “money-shot” if you will, of the train falling off the bridge, in the trailer. Still an amazing sequence and hugely underrated movie overall, but this always bothered me. I would have greatly preferred NOT having already seen that epic shot beforehand. But that’s how Hollywood likes to promote their movies. 😕
