Pure 100% class entertainment!

Absolutely loved this movie. I got a sore throat from laughing so much, even the depps face after horse peers down on him through chimney.. I lost it.. So funny.

There are quite a few classic scenes in this movie that will keep me going for a while. Rented from "lovefilm" but will definitely buy ?

Funny thing is, I did not even know Depp was in this movie. Recognised him by his eyes, and had to use imdb to verify lol

Most underrated film in recent years...I thought it was great.

Best blockbuster-style movie of 2013 and one of the best adventure movies in years.

I love origin stories with plausible character motivation and development arcs. This is one of the best!

Must have seen this movie a dozen times and I do love it!

I don't understand why the critics were so harsh with this, but give movies like Fast Furious 7 and Avengers 2 a pass.

If the subject has a huge following in a prime demographic a lot of critics like to jump on the bandwagon of praise. Can't trust today's critics. Conversely, if the subject has an inflated budget, but not a huge following, critics feel they have license to shoot it down. Depp playing a Native American was politically incorrect and probably a main reason for the critical harshness even though he did a fantastic job.

Add to that the producers and director had made loads of commercial mega-hits that the critics hated, and with this they unleashed all of that frustration due to it not doing well commercially.

Roger Ebert was the only critic I ever remotely trusted, and now he's gone.

Looks like I'm in the right thread for thinking this is one of the best modern blockbusters. It's a great film; creative, intelligent, funny, thrilling, exciting and even moving. I just watched it and look forward to seeing it again.
