wayyy better than the 2nd
this one ties into the 1st and is pretty good for a low budget flick. def surprised with it. Don't let the low rating sway you. It's not amazing but it is mindless fun entertainment

shareLol I agree with you, except I don't think it was better than the second. The characters weren't as likable as the one's in the second. And the actor that played David could have been less cheesy, he was kind of a bad actor. He really wasn't believable. The Boogeyman was pretty cheesy aswell but freaked me out a bit :P
I personally think when he was like "hooo hoo ha ha" being all creepy, he sounded EXACTLY like the snowmen from the video game Banjo and Kazooie.
I dunno but it was a pretty good movie :) Kept me well entertained!
I thought the second was better. And it had Tobin Bell, which was pretty awesome.
shareIt was better than the second one but not than the first one. Still, for a low-bodget film it was decent, but then again, Friday 13th, NOES, hellraiser were also considered a low budget films.....

I have a feeling that you're way off on this.
I thought the second was way better than this one. I did appreciate how they tried to tie the "modes" of the first and second film together with this one, but the script had problems, there were a lot of pacing problems, etc. I don't know why they didn't make this more of a direct continuation of the story in the second film. They could have had it start out with Laura in a psychiatric prison under the (authorities') belief that she'd actually committed the murders in the second film, while Henry is meanwhile still running around, then something happens that sets Laura free, but the murders start up again in another setting, etc.

I don't understand how anyone could think this movie was way better than the 2nd. I thought the 2nd had better thrill, dialogue and plot the acting was way better too. What ruined it for me was the "ghost" boogeyman...and the red paint that was supposed to be blood, I mean come on.
shareWhile i like this one better then the 2nd (more so because its the boogeyman back in action, instead of some serial killer). But i felt the overall delivery was a fail. The main character didn't have much to offer against The Boogeyman, and didn't seem like she was ever going to conquer against it. At least in the first one you had Tim stand up to The Boogeyman at the end and face his fears. In this one she was running away the whole time and told other people to run away also. I always thought the message was to face your fears and conquer the Boogeyman...
shareI think that is the message of this one...you can't escape the boogeyman. I agree with the original poster, this was a pretty well done slasher flick. I thought it much better than the second one. Much scarier.
shareI don't even consider Part 2 to be its Sequel coz boogeyman without Supernatural elements is Big let down....Keep em coming
