Love or Children the Greatest Gift?
One of my favorite bits in the movie is when Walter tells the retired Kermit the Frog that only the Muppets can give people the greatest gift—but it takes Kermit three guesses to figure out what that is, so only the Muppets can give people the THIRD greatest gift—laughter. However, I could have sworn when I saw the film in the theater that Kermit’s first guess was “love” (which would have been my guess as well.) I just bought the film on Blu-Ray and there, Kermit’s first guess is “children” ! (The second guess of “ice cream” remains the same.)
Am I crazy or do other viewers of the film remember it being “love” as well in the theatrical version? (Maybe they thought “children” was more kid-friendly for the home video version.)
