Wouldn't a New Muppets show be awesome?

I'm looking forward to the sequel mentioned by Kermit and Miss Piggy at Cinema Con, but I think everybody will agree with me that it would be even more cool to have a brand new Muppets Show on TV. I think it would be relevant since the movie helped making the Muppets popular again and relevant to the new generation. They could even have some of today's hottest stars as guest stars, for example:

Steve Carell
Seth Rogen
Lea Michelle
Seth Macfarlane
Jason Segel
Robin Williams (I know he's not today's hottest star, but, damn it, they need him to guest star)
Neil Patrick Harris
Emma Stone
Viola Davis
Brad Pitt
Andy Samberg
Daniel Radcliffe
Adam Sandler
Gwyneth Paltrow
Anne Hathaway

I think it would be a great idea to have "The Muppet Show" back on TV.

It sure will be great!

Movies are soundtrack with dialog.

well they did try in the 90s with Muppets Tonight and it failed miserably, i mean they cancelled it before they even aired every episode. now granted that was a long time ago and this movie did pretty well but i dont know if people would watch a tv series. it would get slaughtered on network tv due to all that reality tv crap that sadly does well in the ratings so it would likely have to air on one of the cable channels to guarantee a chance.

of course a good test would be a few tv specials. not the tv movies they've done in the past but actual hour/two hour long "muppet show" specials. i'd definitely give it a shot but i can't say i'd follow it. it would probably be like SNL for me, i only watch when someone i like hosts it. but i'm not the big or hardcore fan so maybe there's enough out there today to make that work.

I was surprised to find out after I finished watching the movie that a Muppet TV show wasn't in the works. The whole movie was about rebooting the original show it seems like a big missed opportunity that they didn't try to launch an actual reboot of the back of that.

I’m disappointed that they haven’t done more with the Youtube channel. I think that if they put out one or two skits a week that it could be huge thing.
