PERFECT moment for The Electric Mayhem!

I do believe that the first three Muppet movies all contained a rockin' musical number by The Electric Mayhem. I mean, "Can You Picture That" is one of the best songs in The Muppet Movie. In The Great Muppet Caper, they had a substantial part in "Happiness Hotel" and had their solo performance on the bus, I think it was "Give Me That Night Life" or something. Then there was "You Can't Take No For An Answer" in The Muppets Take Manhattan.

Now, that part in the movie when they were cleaning up the theater, and Walter suggest they do it to music? Dr. Teeth said "Well alRIGHT!" and I thought that The Electric Mayhem was going to jump into an awesome rock number. Instead, he turns on a boom box; I was heart broken. The timing was PERFECT for a number by The Electric Mayhem!

Now, I know Animal was out of commission, but I'd rather have a jam by The Electric Mayhem then see him with a nonsensical subplot.

Not only that, they picked the worst song in exsistance for that montage.

By Grabthar's Hammer...what a savings.

They did have a good moment in Kermit's song "Pictures in My head".

Oh man did they pissed me off so much. A perfect opportunity for a big musical number featuring the Muppets...wasted!

The irony of this movie being a musical is the the Muppets only had ONE actual musical number in the entire movie. WTF?????

'We built this city' just didn't fit in at all. It was such a let-down. The other place they needed a muppet song was for the montage of getting the muppets all back together. Sure, 'Back in black' is a great song, but why not have a muppet song there too?

I wasn't surprised. With the exception of Animal (due to his popularity,) The Electric Mayhem has been forgotten completely since the death of Jim Henson. It's obvious from the original three Muppet movies that these characters were important to Mr. Henson, and I'm sure if he were alive, The Electric Mayhem would not have been reduced to background extras the way they presently have. Hell, I don't think Zoot has even SPOKEN since The Muppets Take Manhattan.
