I preferred Most Wanted.

I grew up with The Muppets. I am 27 but I'm not ashamed to admit I still enjoy these films! Anyway, this one was alright. But Most Wanted had a better story, it was funnier and it actually felt a lot more like the older muppet movie.
Anyone else prefer Most Wanted?

Your not alone I actually didn't like The Muppets at all, I didnt like the human characters and there wasn't enough muppets. Where as I enjoyed The Muppets Most Wanted, better story, funnier, more muppet screen time espicially Kermit, less Walter and less human screen time though at least the human characters in Most Wanted were more fun.
And I'm 32 grew up with the muppets and like there older movies, my favorite is The Muppets Christmas Carol.

I agree. Most Wanted felt more like a real Muppets movie and was zanier and funnier than its predecessor.

2011's The Muppets had some funny scenes but I felt it was disappointing. It gave the human characters center stage and it was too much of a emo nostalgia trip talking about how great the Muppets WERE, instead of being great in its own right.

reply

No, this is better. I think this was better written. Most Wanted isn't terrible, but like Great Muppet Caper was inferior to Muppet Movie, same with Most Wanted to Muppets.

reply

No, no.

reply

Yes, Yes. That is my opinion and if you don't like it, stuff it.

reply

I would have respected your "opinion" if you hadn't of corrected mine.
I make a post saying I liked Most Wanted better and you come along and simply say:
No, Muppets 2011 was better" .....Like I am supposed to say
"Oh really, it was? Well thanks for correcting me, sir!"
OBVIOUSLY most people prefer the 2011 film film, hence the higher rating....
OBVIOUSLY, I am aware that I am in the minority. But is not clear that this post was aimed at people who enjoyed Most Wanted more??
If someone gives their opinion on a film, don't correct them by say "No!"
It is just rude and annoying.

reply

Who cares? If you liked it better fine, who cares if someone says you're wrong?

Dragonzord! Mastodon! Pterodactyl! Triceratops! Saber Toothed Tiger! Tyrannosaurus!

reply

Obviously I do. It is annoying. It's not like I'll lose sleep over it.
I am just responding to the reply. That is how a conversation works..

I agree, I also enjoyed "Most Wanted" more than the previous Muppet movie. I am surprised that IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes both rate Most Wanted (2014) lower than The Muppets (2011).

"Most Wanted" had a better story, more visual gags, better songs and was overall funnier. "Most Wanted" can easily stand on its own as a comedy flick, while the only purpose of the 2011 movie was pop nostalgia and not much else.

I agree most wanted was tons better. One reviewer said this muppets movie was a Jason Segal movie that featured the muppets and I have to agree quite frankly. Compared to most wanted there's really not much to like about this one. Muppets most wanted is a muppet movie done right. Jason Segal wishes his movie was as good as most wanted.

Same here! This didn't feel like a Muppet movie at all (more like something a fan would come up with), but Most Wanted actually did.

The more people I meet, the more I get why Jane Goodall spends all of her time with chimps.....
