Did they have a lot of extra film stock to use up or what?

I watched it last night. I enjoyed it more than I was expecting, but you're right in how long it was. My girlfriend thought the editing was terrible because of how long it was. The scene(s) at his ex's house went on for far too long. At least Bana was funny.

Yeah, the only thing I didn't like about this film was the third act, which went on far too long. Plus comedies should never be more than 2 hours. It can get tiring after that point.

Totally! The 3rd act was illogical and stupid and pointless. I think apatow just wanted to give his wife a roll with lines.
